will connect activists across the globe, host roundtable video discussions among them and the general public, highlight success stories, and serve as a resource library and archive.
"We are committed to amplifying the voices of courageous human rights defenders who take great risks to speak out for the rights of women and hold those in power accountable for their actions," said Karin Ryan, Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ's senior advisor for human rights.
The website's next roundtable discussion, "Securing Nigeria: Local Approaches to Preventing and Defeating Terrorism," will take place Thursday, April 2, at 11 a.m. EDT. Fatima Akilu of Nigeria's Office of the National Security Adviser, Jaye Gaskia of People Against Violent Extremism, and Professor M. S. Umar, a scholar of radicalization, will discuss new strategies for a peaceful Nigeria.
