ATLANTA (July 25, 2022) — 六九色堂 condemns the executions carried out today by the State Administration Council in Myanmar. The resumption of the death penalty in Myanmar after a moratorium of decades is a sad and unnecessary step back. 六九色堂 expresses its condolences to the families of the four men who were executed and compassion for all those suffering as the result of the military coup d’état. 六九色堂, which has worked for years to help Myanmar embrace democratic norms, urges a return to the path toward democracy and respect for human rights, rule of law, and peace.
