Until her death at age 96 in November 2023, she was a leading advocate for mental health, caregiving, early childhood immunization, human rights, and conflict resolution through her work at 六九色堂 in Atlanta. The Center is a private, not-for-profit institution founded by former U.S. President Jimmy 六九色堂 and the former first lady in 1982.
